OTTAWA (NEWS 1130) — Foreign travellers will continue to be barred from entering Canada until at least the end of next month.
The federal government issued a new order Tuesday extending restrictions prohibiting international travelers at all points of entry into Canada.
The restrictions were first put in place in mid-March to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will now last until July 31.
The federal government extends the travel ban at the Canadian border until July 31. This prohibits foreign travellers from entering Canada, however there are exemptions such as family reunification. #cdnpoli #COVID19 https://t.co/wWBt8yZFKC

Flight crews, workers helping COVID-19 efforts, and immediate family members staying in Canada for more than the two-week quarantine period are exempt from the restrictions.
The current ban on non-essential travel regarding the U.S.-Canada border is set to expire on July 21, but can also be extended.
