TORONTO (NEWS 1130) – What does Canada mean to you?
A nation-wide multi-lingual contest has been launched in celebration of our nation’s 150th birthday.
Here’s My Canada invites you to film a 30-second video via a free app to share your personal view of our country.
Anthony Wilson-Smith with Historica Canada – the group that does the Heritage Minutes – says it’s a place to express feelings and stories.
“It could just be here’s how I feel every day when I wake up and realize here I am in Canada in this great country. It could be a tough experience like someone who’s First Nations who felt their people were treated unfairly. It could be someone who arrived three years ago and felt fortunate to be here or someone who’s grandparents fought in the war.”
You can submit your video anytime between now and September and yes, there are prizes.
