VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — The Canadian version of a long-running game show is looking for contestants for its new season.
“Family Feud Canada” is entering its third season.
Hosted by comedian Gerry Dee, the show features two families competing to name the most popular answers to survey questions, in order to win cash and prizes.
Donia Aly is the Supervising Casting Producer with the show, and says the auditions are virtual this year.
“So, families can audition from the comfort of their own homes after submitting an online application,” explains Aly. “If your application stands out, you’ll be selected for a virtual audition.”
Then, if you impress, you’ll move onto a second audition, and you’ll play a practice game with another family.
She says they’re looking for all kinds of families to try out.
“Families with different cultural backgrounds, families that stand for whatever they are passionate about, is what we’re looking for.”
She says they’d love to see more contestants from right here in B.C., but not just from the big cities.
“You know, the families from Vancouver and the big cities are absolutely epic families, but we also want the families from the smaller regions,” says Aly.
She says contestants have a chance to win up to thirty thousand dollars.
